When the Velvet Revolution erupted in 1989, Milan was a schoolboy watching an entire system collapse. It was the last year he wore the red scarf of the young pioneers. The world was changing, and so was he.

By 1992, inspired by Jožo Nižnánsky’s historical novel Čachtická pani, Milan wrote his first novel at just thirteen. A teacher recognized his spark — that rare literary instinct — and encouraged him to keep going. From 1994 to 1998, he studied at Gymnasium Ľudovíta Štúra in Trenčín, sharpening his intellect and deepening his craft.

At 15, he saw his first poem published. At 16, he became an editor. By adulthood, he had become a storyteller with a voice shaped by revolution, memory, and the fragile beauty of youth.
