Ms. Skyla Spencer
Children's Writer

When you think of Skyla Spencer, you think of a talent that wears many different hats. We’re not talking about the over 100 hats she has to choose from, but all the hats she wears professionally. Skyla sings, writes music, dances, choreographs production pieces and more; she also has experience in acting, modeling, voice over work, and most recently started writing children's books.

She is multi-talented and shows no signs of slowing down. She grew up in WV, (Upshur County), and currently lives in Nashville, TN.

Skyla has appeared on National TV networks including ABC, CMT, TLC, and GAC. She has also danced and starred in music videos, film, commercials, and danced at NFL games. Skyla has been featured in national and noteworthy magazines such as: Country Weekly, Power Source, Skope, Music Row magazine, New Music Weekly, CMA Close Up, and many more.

She was voted by Toast of Music City 2011, as one of the top three Best Local Celebrities in Nashville. Skyla has been entertaining audiences for years and has been making a mark in the Nashville community as an all-around entertainer.

She is an accomplished performer and entertainer and has headlined and sang for our US troops overseas, as well as having songs on the radio and charting on country charts. She scored a nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, in 2009 for her single "This Girl," by New Music Weekly. “This Girl,” is a song Skyla co-wrote to empower girls to chase their dreams and to never give up.

She is no stranger to the stage, combining both her love of singing and dancing. With a BA in Liberal Arts (Dance and Psychology) and an AA in Dance, she has used her dance training and singing ability to entertain crowds all over the nation and internationally. She is currently writing new material for a new album.

You can catch Skyla entertaining and teaching line dance at the World Famous Wildhorse Saloon. The venue is a well-known tourist attraction located in the heart of Music City, Nashville, TN.
